Mary Akpa is a wonderful friend of ours. She invited me to come out and photograph her live show at The Witzend in Venice Beach. This is the greatest little place. I love the vibe of it. It was a packed house Friday night, filled with so many of her fans, friends, and family coming out to support her. Mary was absolutely radiant. She’s so much fun to capture on camera, she just sparkles, and is incredibly talented. It was a fabulous show, with Mary sharing some of her original songs and even a fun Whitney Houston tribute. I loved getting to be a small part of the evening.
