What a great night this was! A packed house, and an amazing show! So much energy from Moi, pouring off the stage, singing his heart out!
The drive up the mountain was so refreshing, as my partner in crime, Emily Rickard and I, headed up to shoot a wedding in Big Bear, California. It was the perfect day for a fall wedding! The leaves were turning to gorgeous shades of red, yellow, and brown. As we drove up to the location for the wedding, we both were taken aback at the gorgeous cabin! We were excited to get started at capturing the wonderful moments of Josh and Taylor’s day!
I always love the energy of the bride and bridesmaids, as they rush around getting ready. Taylor’s bridesmaids were so sweet as they primped and pampered her. Even her flower girl got in the action, helping with the final accessories.
Josh and Taylor wanted to wait to see each other, until that moment she was walking down the aisle. So they decided to take a few minutes together before the ceremony, just to pray, and calm their nerves. I love the expressions on their faces, as they are praying together.
This was a really fun session! Miss Bailey has lots of girly girl attitude and she had Nicole and me cracking up the whole time. She pretty much directed our session, with all of the ideas and poses she had planned! I really love the precious moments caught between momma and daughter here. So much love and laughter, too!! You girls are gorgeous!
Eddie and Cheryl are long time friends of ours. I was thrilled to get to do their family maternity session for them! They are really excited about baby #3, especially because they are having a girl!! Cheryl really wanted to celebrate their new arrival with lots of pink accents and fun girly props. I loved how the whole family tied in the pink in adorable ways! Congratulations on your sweet baby girl!!
Life gets too busy. Too busy to take time to notice the little things. I really miss taking pics of my kids, lately. Of course I take the daily snapshots on my phone, but it’s just not quite the same as documenting those ever fleeting moments with my camera. I just don’t seem to have the time, or take the time anymore. Early on, one of the reasons I was drawn to photography was because of my kiddos. Capturing every step, every smile, every “first” moment, was such a joy for me. As they are growing older, I am blown away by how fast the days go. Sometimes, I long for the simplicity of when they were little. When school work didn’t fill our days. When we had time to look for bugs crawling in the dirt. When we actually took time to pick and smell the roses. So, this Sunday afternoon I bought $1 squirt guns. You would have thought it was the best treasure ever. With fudge pop stained faces, they were easily entertained. Playing outside, being warriors, cartoon characters, brothers. I took a break from my never-ending list of “To-Do’s”, and just had fun capturing the simple joys of those sweet moments with my boys.
Filled with an adventurous spirit, Sarah is ready to explore the world around her! Sarah is a super talented girl, an amazing actress and a fabulous writer, her dreams are just waiting to be achieved! She is graduating this spring as an English Major from California State University Long Beach. Congratulations Sarah on a huge accomplishment!
Ending one chapter and beginning a new one, Ethan is a Senior this year. The world before him, an empty canvas to create and become the person he is meant to be. I met Ethan, his mom, and his adorable girlfriend in Long Beach for his Senior Portrait Session. He had us all cracking up, with his new found modeling abilities. Congratulations Ethan! 2013!
Spring is the perfect time of year for family photos! The flowers are blooming, everything is green and gorgeous! We met at the park with everything in full bloom, making a beautiful backdrop for this adorable family! Adam, Nikki, and Danika picked flowers, karate chopped sticks, and romped through the hills during their family session. Just like every 3 year old, Dani is full of energy, so we kept this session fast paced, running from one activity to the next! Here are a few of my favorites of these three!
The first look. I love it when couples do their first look before the wedding. It’s so much fun to document the first reaction, just the two of them, absolutely enamored with one another. Could these two be any more adorable and photogenic?? It was a true delight to be able to capture the anticipation before hand and those precious looks exchanged, as they caught their first glimpses of each other. David and Andrea, a perfect match.
