Life gets too busy. Too busy to take time to notice the little things. I really miss taking pics of my kids, lately. Of course I take the daily snapshots on my phone, but it’s just not quite the same as documenting those ever fleeting moments with my camera. I just don’t seem to have the time, or take the time anymore. Early on, one of the reasons I was drawn to photography was because of my kiddos. Capturing every step, every smile, every “first” moment, was such a joy for me. As they are growing older, I am blown away by how fast the days go. Sometimes, I long for the simplicity of when they were little. When school work didn’t fill our days. When we had time to look for bugs crawling in the dirt. When we actually took time to pick and smell the roses. So, this Sunday afternoon I bought $1 squirt guns. You would have thought it was the best treasure ever. With fudge pop stained faces, they were easily entertained. Playing outside, being warriors, cartoon characters, brothers. I took a break from my never-ending list of “To-Do’s”, and just had fun capturing the simple joys of those sweet moments with my boys.
COLORFEST – Friday Night Fun!
Last night we had the awesome opportunity to tag along at SCG’s High School Event COLORFEST! I brought my camera along, and had a blast catching the action. I have to say it was probably one of the funnest and most dangerous events I’ve ever done. There was water and paint flying EVERYWHERE! I was doing my best to be up close and personal to catch those magic moments, without getting attacked, myself. My kiddos jumped in full force, and had the best night! This was a photographer’s dreamland!!
Thanks for letting us crash and have fun, too!

Standing on Top of the World: Ethan’s Senior Portraits
Ending one chapter and beginning a new one, Ethan is a Senior this year. The world before him, an empty canvas to create and become the person he is meant to be. I met Ethan, his mom, and his adorable girlfriend in Long Beach for his Senior Portrait Session. He had us all cracking up, with his new found modeling abilities. Congratulations Ethan! 2013!
Adam, Nikki, and Danika – Can You Feel the Love!!
Spring is the perfect time of year for family photos! The flowers are blooming, everything is green and gorgeous! We met at the park with everything in full bloom, making a beautiful backdrop for this adorable family! Adam, Nikki, and Danika picked flowers, karate chopped sticks, and romped through the hills during their family session. Just like every 3 year old, Dani is full of energy, so we kept this session fast paced, running from one activity to the next! Here are a few of my favorites of these three!
Josh and Taylor – Engagement Session
I was really excited to do Josh and Taylor’s Engagement Session. I will be doing their wedding in October, so it’s always fun to get a chance to work with the couple before their big day. I had so much fun with these two! They are silly, love to play together, and are so sweet with each other. We caught some beautiful serious moments, and some really great playful ones, also. Like when Josh attempted to throw Taylor in the lake! Congratulations to the both of you! I can’t wait until October!!
